Welcome to YourApp (“Application”, “Service”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how YourApp Inc. (“we,”
“us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information about you (“user,” “you”) when you access
or use our mobile application, website, and any related services.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. If
you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
This Policy applies to all users globally. Depending on your jurisdiction, additional rights may apply (see Sections
13 and 15).
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account registration data: name, email address, username, password (hashed)
• Profile information: profile photo, bio, date of birth, gender
• Payment information: billing address, payment method (processed by PCI-DSS certified third parties)
• User-generated content: posts, messages, comments, photos, videos, files
• Communications: support tickets, feedback, survey responses
• Identity verification documents (where required by law)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Device identifiers: device ID, advertising ID (IDFA/GAID), hardware model, OS version
• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referring URLs
• Location data: precise GPS location (only with explicit permission), coarse location via IP
• Usage analytics: features used, session duration, click patterns, crash reports
• Camera & microphone data: accessed only when you initiate a relevant feature
• Contacts: accessed only with permission, used solely for friend-finding features

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights,
property, or safety of our company, users, or the public.
5.4 With Your Consent
We may share your data with third parties when you have explicitly consented, such as when connecting your
account to another platform.
6. Meta Platform Integration & Facebook Login
The YourApp application integrates with Meta’s platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and uses Meta’s SDK in
compliance with Meta’s Platform Policy and Developer Policies.
6.1 Facebook Login
When you log in via Facebook Login, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and (with permission)
your friends list. We use this data solely to authenticate you and personalize your experience. We do not store
your Facebook password.
6.2 Data Use Restrictions
• We only request permissions necessary for core app functionality
• We do not use Facebook data to build profiles for advertising beyond the scope granted
• We comply with Meta’s restrictions on re-sharing or selling Facebook user data
• We delete Facebook-sourced data upon account deletion or token revocation
6.3 Meta’s Privacy Policy
Your use of Facebook Login is also governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy available at
https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. We encourage you to review it.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to collect information
about your interactions with the Service.

8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply
with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
• Account data: retained while account is active + 30 days after deletion request
• Transaction records: 7 years (legal/tax requirements)
• Log data: up to 90 days unless needed for security investigations
• Backups: purged within 90 days after account deletion
• Anonymized analytics data: indefinitely
To delete your account and associated data, please use the in-app deletion feature or contact us at
privacy@yourapp.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
9. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:
• AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit
• Password hashing using bcrypt with per-user salts
• Multi-factor authentication (MFA) option for accounts
• Regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
• Access controls: principle of least privilege for all systems

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights
and freedoms, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law within 72 hours.
10. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

11. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under these ages. If we become aware that a child has provided us with
personal information without parental consent, we will delete such information immediately.

12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your country of residence. These
countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

will verify your identity before processing requests.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Policy in
the app, updating the ‘Effective Date,’ and sending an email notice (for significant changes). Your continued use of
the Service after changes constitute acceptance.
